Partnership with the Challenged Athletes Foundation
Concept
Cyclery is proud to announce a new partnership with the Challenged
Athletes Foundation. The relationship began with the introduction to a very special person by
the name of Rudy Garcia-Tolson.
Concept's President Bruce Hollibaugh met Rudy when he came up from San Diego to be fit in the ConceptFit
Performance Studio. Mr. Hollibaugh said "I first met Rudy during his fit session with us and
it took all of 60 seconds to be inspired by him. I can't explain it, but I knew right then and there
that something more than a bike fit was going to come out of this experience. Rudy and I talked
a little about the Challenged Athlete Foundation, so I did some research and knew I had to get involved
in the very important work this group is doing. I reached out to Virginia Tinley the Executive Director
of CAF and could not have been more impressed with her dedication and professionalism. I am very
excited about what we can accomplish together in the future".
Concept is also announcing their new Million Dollar Challenge training program. Working with some
of the most talented coaches in the entire cycling industry, we have structured a complete training
program that will get you ready for the ride of your life. The program can literally take you from
a beginner, or anything in-between, to a cyclist competent in all the necessary disciplines to have
a great time on the Challenge tour.
If you are an executive that is interested in getting involved, but might be concerned about the
time and effort commitment, relax, we have worked it all out for you. The founder of Concept Cyclery
is a Silicon Valley executive himself, so he knows how demanding a career can be. The program is
very realistic and is completely custom designed for each executive to fit into their time slots
available.
We start with a Concept Progressive Fit in our performance studio. This fit is designed to progressively
take you from a position of maximum comfort using every trick in our book(including super comfy saddles),
to a tuned endurance athlete ready to put on the miles.
A Brief History of CAF
Established in 1997, the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) is a unique organization that recognizes
the athletic greatness inherent in all people with physical challenges and supports their athletic
endeavors by providing grants for training, competition and equipment needs.
Grants are awarded for a wide range of physical challenges, across the entire spectrum of sport.
CAF does not discriminate by age, disability, sport or level of ability. The hundreds of athletes
assisted by CAF range from world class athletes competing on an international level to those who
are recently disabled and are intent on becoming more active.
Grants are distributed once a year, with applications being accepted from September 1st to December
1st each year.

Proud to Partner with

The Million Dollar Challenge offers a unique opportunity to ride with some of the top pros from
the Garmin-Transition’s professional cycling team.
These pro cyclists, challenged athletes and CAF fundraisers will ride side-by-side down the California
coastline to help raise funds and awareness for CAF.
"It was one of the most rewarding weeks of cycling I have ever experienced. It was amazing
to ride for a cause that helps change the lives of so many athletes, and gives them the chance to
enjoy what we do every day. In the end, I think I left the most inspired of all."
